What Cyberpunk is asking for

Cyberpunk’s founding formula is “high tech, low life,” and the clothing follows it exactly. The base is dark, practical and worn: tech-wear layering, harness straps, utility pockets, heavy boots, cropped or asymmetric outer layers. Then one or two neon elements glow out of it — magenta, acid green, electric cyan — as light rather than as colour.

The theme is defined by that contrast. If your whole outfit is neon, you have built a rave look. If your whole outfit is clean and metallic, you have built Y3K. Cyberpunk needs the grime under the glow.

Building it without VIP

  • Biker Corset or Biker Jacket with Biker Pants gives you the hardware base in the free wardrobe.
  • Utility Belt, Charm Waist Chain, Spiked Bracelets, stacked straps — hardware is the whole silhouette language.
  • Baggy Cargos or Grafitti Shorts for the practical bottom half.
  • Mesh Top under a cropped jacket for the layered tech read.
  • Neon comes from exactly one place: a colour-picked accessory, a hair colour, or Robot Makeup in magenta.

Hair should look either shaved-sharp or aggressively coloured. Brazilian Buzz Cut Hair works surprisingly well here.

Colour and silhouette

Black and gunmetal for 85% of the outfit, one neon for the rest. The silhouette is layered and asymmetric with weight low — heavy boots, wide leg, cropped top. Nothing should look new.

What loses votes

  • Clean and shiny. Drifts into Y3K.
  • Neon everywhere. Reads as Rave.
  • No hardware. A black outfit with pink hair is not cyberpunk; the straps and buckles are the theme.
