What Festival of Lights is asking for

Light is the subject. The outfit should look like it is glowing or carrying light — warm gold, amber, candle-lit skin tones — and it should be festive, meaning celebratory dress rather than everyday clothes.

Several real festivals sit under this name, and referencing one specifically is the strongest play:

• Diwali — saris and lehengas, rich reds and golds, layered jewellery, diya lamps.
• Hanukkah — blue and silver, the menorah as the light source.
• Loi Krathong and lantern festivals — floating lanterns, flowing silhouettes, warm paper light.

DTI added a large set of real cultural items across the 2025 and 2026 cultural updates, including Indian, Chinese, Filipina and other traditional pieces. If you own them, wearing them correctly and respectfully is both the strongest answer and the right way to treat the theme.

Building it without VIP
