What Boho is asking for

Boho — bohemian — is the 1970s free-spirit look: long flowing layers, fringe on everything, crochet and macramé, suede, embroidery, and a lot of layered jewellery in warm metal. The palette is entirely earth: terracotta, sand, sage, rust, cream. The silhouette is loose and long, never fitted.

The mood matters. Boho should look assembled over years from markets and festivals rather than bought as an outfit. Nothing matches exactly; everything harmonises.

Building it without VIP

• Fitted silhouettes. Boho is flowing by definition.
• Cool colours. Grey and navy fight the whole palette.
